The 8th Conference of the Czech Ecological Society (ČSPE) will be organised by ČSPE and the Faculty of Forestry and Wood Technology at Mendel University in Brno (FFWT MENDELU) from 7th to 9th September 2022. The conference will be organised in English. Please forward the information about the conference to your colleagues who might be interested.
Conference topic: The conference will cover the entire ecological science and its applications, including nature conservation.

Instructions for contribution registration
To strengthen the internationality of the Society and to encourage attendance of our foreign colleagues, the conference programme will be entirely in English. All presentations (both posters and talks) will be in English so that the conference is accessible to non-Czech speaking colleagues. We would like the conference to be a multi-disciplinary platform where ecologists from various specializations and approaches, be it methodological, conceptual or taxonomic, can meet and discuss their work. For this reason, all presentations will be given in one single session, instead of having multiple parallel sessions. We thus encourage talks with broad outlook and general implications that will be accessible to non-specialists. Abstracts are limited to 1500 characters, and titles up to 100 characters. Because of the time and space constraints, each attendee can only give one oral or one poster presentation. Payment instructions:
Registration fees are to be paid to bank account No. 219259025/0300. The reduced fees must be paid before 25. 7. 2022. The instructions for payment (including an individual variable symbol for the payment identification) will be sent by email within a few days after registration. The payment receipts will be issued at the registration desks during the conference. Accommodation and food
Accommodation must be booked in advance by each conference attendee. Dormitory reservations are possible until 15. 8. 2022.
It is possible to choose the Jana Amose Komenského dormitory (hereinafter “JAKH”) located in Brno-Černá Pole, street Kohoutova 3−11, 613 00 Brno. The dormitories are located 1.5 km from the headquarters of Mendel University (two trolleybus stops). Twin rooms with a shared bathroom in the corridor in block C (price 200 CZK / person / night), or twin rooms with own bathroom and kitchenette in block D (price 300 CZK / person / night), rector’s twin room (500 CZK / person / night), triple room (250 CZK / person / night) and quadruple room (200 CZK CZK / person / night). Additional accommodation fee is 25 CZK / person / night. To book dormitory accommodation, contact the accommodation office JAK: tel. 545 128 340, mobile 739 682 038, email: skm.koleje.jak@mendelu.cz.
Additional accommodation is possible at Akademie dormitory (hereinafter “AH”), located in the “Z” university building, also in Brno-Černá Pole, Tř. Generála Píky 7, 613 00 Brno. The dormitories are located 1 km from the university headquarters (two tram stops). Single, twin and triple rooms are available. Price 650 CZK / person / night + 21 CZK accommodation fee / person / night when the whole room is occupied. If there is only one person in the double room, price is 650 CZK plus 80% for the unoccupied bed, i.e. 1,170 CZK total per night). To specify the reservation, state the title of the event, EKOLOGIE 2022. In order to avoid long waiting times at the registration desk upon the arrival, we recommend providing the accommodation manager your address, date of birth, and your passport number when booking your accommodation (by email or telephone).
Breakfast is available and may be ordered when booking the dormitory accommodation.
Luncheshave to be ordered during online registration, and are to be paid individually at the canteen desk (prices vary depending on meal selection). Lunches will be served in the main canteen (building X) in the campus of Mendel University. Prices for the lunch are about 200 CZK (soup, main dish, salad). The lunch menu will be made available shortly prior to the start of the conference.
